Structure: DNA looks like a twisted ladder where two strands twist around each other which is called a double helix. Genes contain DNA so the structure of them are really the same. There are different forms of genes that produce different traits, these are all called alleles. The chromosome groups form an X shape, with the structure of DNA on the inside.
DIFFERENCES IN STRUCTURE OF DNA, mRNA, AND tRNA: DNA is double stranded while RNA is typically single stranded. DNA has a sugar of deoxyribose in it, while RNA has the sugar of ribose. DNA contains thymine, while RNA contains uracil. RNA is a strand while DNA is two twisted strands.
